Dragon Breath Pretzels

I love to make appetizers and snacks for parties! This is one of my go to snacks for parties. My nieces and nephews request this one every year for Christmas. I dubbed them dragon breath pretzels because they have a zing of cayenne! They are so addicting its hard to stop with just one handful.

My husband ate the entire last batch I made! Well let me rephrase that. My husband and my 2 year old daughter ate the entire batch! She kept asking us for the “spicy pretzels”.
Dragon Breath PretzelsAka- Spicy Ranch Pretzels
20 oz bag of pretzels
1-2 tsp cayenne pepper (I used 1.5 tsp)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 pkg dry ranch mix
1 cup vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Mix last four ingredients together. Pour mixture over pretzels and toss together. Spread pretzels out evenly on two large baking sheets. Mix every 20 minutes until done. Bake for 1 hour.
Thanks to my sister for this wonderful recipe!!!

  1. Such a great recipe. I love those pretzel shapes! I make something similar and use butter-flavored oil and no cayenne. Addicting for sure. What an adorable name you gave these too. Bravo for being featured at Totally Tasty Tuesday.
